We are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our summer internship program for 8 weeks onsite in Austin, Texas. As an intern with us, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside your dedicated mentor and building connections with various other team members.
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world initiatives within our engineering squads. What You'll Do
- Learn programming best practices and techniques hands-on
- Work with a modern microservice and event-driven architecture
- Engage with experienced engineers to code, maintain, test, and debug live production systems
- Work as part of an Agile software development team
- Participate in the planning and execution of development projects
Skills You Have
- This role can help springboard your career in software engineering and allow you to develop relevant skills for any tech career. While you do not need to have formal software development training, intermediate coding proficiency (2+ years) is expected. The following backgrounds may translate well to this role: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer and Information systems, Software Engineering, or a similar mix of training and experience that you think will make you successful as a software developer on our team.
Who You Are
- You have some experience with one or more programming languages (Java or Kotlin preferred)
- You have experience using Git to collaborate on projects, manage code branches, fix merge conflicts and push code to remote repositories
- You have experience implementing and troubleshooting RESTful APIs
- You have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- You can build rapport and work collaboratively with others on a team
- You appreciate good design and clean, well-tested code
- You take feedback well and align with our values of accountability and positivity
- You are an active undergraduate college student
