VP, People Operations

With our rapid growth, Favor is seeking a highly-personable, driven, dynamic leader with a passion for people and culture to lead our People Operations. Our ideal candidate will be fluent and experienced in a broad range of areas within People Operations including organizational planning and development, employee relations, employment and compliance with regulatory concerns, compensation program design, talent acquisition, learning and development, policy development and documentation, performance management, and diversity and inclusion. You have a consistent track record of building employee programs that support a high-performing culture.

You will be responsible for thoughtfully designing the employee life cycle to serve our core values and ambitious growth plan by helping team members have a rewarding employment experience focused on professional growth. In this role, you will maintain a strategic and high-level perspective of the company but also be hands-on operationally. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and lead a team of highly motivated People Operations professionals within a dynamic, fast-growing company.  

Responsibilities

  • Foster and grow a high-performance organizational culture
  • Partner with business leaders to develop strategic and operational HR programs that will strengthen culture, improve performance, and enhance engagement within their team
  • Improve on and develop best in class HR processes
  • Advise on scaleable organizational design and structure to ensure that our teams and team members are set up to achieve business results and personal success  
  • Collaborate with leadership to solve problems and craft policies that support business initiatives
  • Partner with business leaders to develop strategic and operational HR programs that will strengthen culture, improve performance, and enhance engagement within their team
  • Oversee the way that we operationalize our culture at a larger scale
  • Ensure that our People Operations team has the skills, direction, and growth opportunities needed to succeed
  • Partner with in-house legal to ensure compliance across all People Operations processes and functions.
  • Lead change management initiatives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Champion career growth and development for team members through coaching, learning and development, and career planning initiatives
  • Develop, propose, and implement an employee compensation philosophy and structure.
  • Manage the resolution of complex employee relation issues
  • Ensure delivery of best practices for hiring and development of Favor employees
  • Champion all types of diversity, inclusion, and belonging across the company

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior people operations experience; technology start-up experience preferred
  • A “hands-on” leader who enjoys being in the trenches with the operating team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where the decision-making process is quick and expedient.
  • Strong track record and understanding of HR management, HR systems, payroll, benefits and compliance.
  • Effective listener and problem solver
  • Experience leading or working closely with a Talent Acquisition team
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Well-versed in critical thinking, cultural awareness and business acumen
  • High social and emotional intelligence
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster high levels of accountability through coaching, career development, and performance management.
  • Solid analytical and project management skills
  • Collaborative, approachable, visible
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR or other HR certifications preferred
  • Experience working at a fast scaling tech company or startup preferred
  • Facilities and workplace services management experience preferred
