Running an active Favor

Favor Runner Insurance including third-party liability and contingent collision coverage applies.

When you’re covered

Third-Party Liability

This provides insurance coverage for bodily injury or property damage of a third party that arises from an active Favor car accident. A third party is someone or something other than yourself or your vehicle.

Contingent Collision

This provides insurance coverage for any damage to your vehicle or property. You should first contact your personal auto insurance company to file a claim for any first-party vehicle or property damage. However, if denied or not fully covered, this contingent collision coverage will provide protection.

What to do when you’re in an accident

Make sure you are safe.

Call 911. A police report is required to file a claim.

Text Favor Support to let them know you were in an accident.

No, Favor Runners are automatically covered. Please note: coverage only applies while delivering on an active Favor.

Do I need to sign-up or enroll, in order to be covered?

Active Favor means you have 1) selected ‘Accept’ and are actively working the Favor 2) have not yet completed the Favor. Please see the active Favor chart above.

What is considered an ‘active Favor’?

Yes, Favor Delivery requires that all Favor Runners maintain an up-to-date personal auto insurance policy that complies with the minimum limits required by Texas law. If you fail to maintain your own insurance, Favor Delivery’s Runner Insurance coverage will not apply.

Do I still need my own personal auto insurance?

Your vehicle needs to be a registered and licensed vehicle. This means that any accident that occurs while delivering as a Bike Runner will not be covered by Favor’s policy.

What types of vehicles are covered?

Favor’s Auto Insurance coverage only applies when a Runner is on an active Favor. Favor does not provide insurance coverage while not driving on the Favor platform. We encourage you to speak with your current commercial liability insurance company for further advice.

I already have my own commercial auto liability insurance policy. Does this mean that I no longer need to maintain that?

No. Favor’s Auto Insurance policy covers Runners only while you are on an active Favor.

I got into an accident while delivering with a competing on-demand delivery company. Will Favor’s Runner Auto Insurance coverage apply for that accident?

All coverages are subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and restrictions in the applicable insurance policy, as may be updated or modified from time to time. If any information shown here conflicts with the current policy, the policy shall govern. This coverage is provided as a benefit of being a Favor Runner, but does not modify, change, or alter their classification as independent contractors.
